Keep Showing Up

Hello everyone my name is Zak Comstock and I am an aspiring pro triathlete who is currently trained by Summer Deal. Like many of us I not only train full time, but I also work full time and am currently getting my doctorate in Physical Therapy. At times it can be very difficult between all three but I make the best out of each and every day. For me having a strict schedule is most important about fitting everything into a day. I think many of us get caught up in worrying about how many things we have to do in a day but if we take each activity one by one and follow the schedule it makes it much more manageable.

Atypical day looks like this for me: wake up 5am then head right to the gym, shower eat a protein snack and head to work, from 7am to 3pm work, head home by 4pm, start bike workouts by 4:30 and be done by 6pm, after a quick snack head to the pool until 7:30, After the pool eat dinner and go to class at 8pm.

This is a typical schedule for me, and it would not be possible to achieve all of this without such an amazing group of people behind me, my coach Summer, my wife and everyone else that is involved.

“Keep showing up” is the motto that I have been using in 2023 and what that means to me is, do the workout to the best of my ability but also a bad day is normal to have but keep going and showing up. If I can do it and you can too, get after it and work hard!
