Multisport coaching

Coaching is individually designed around your schedule (including: work, vacation, other hobbies) as well as your desires and time commitment. There is no one way to train! I believe in tight communication between coach and athlete in order to be successful. I like to collaborate with you on goals and intentions (short and long term; time based and execution focused etc.) and if you have workouts you like (or don’t!). I think it is important to be flexible while still having the overarching plan to meet your goals. I like to include strength/core and yoga into your training to help prevent injury and strengthen the other muscles you don’t use as frequently.
Here are a few things you can expect when working with me:
- Results! Let’s take your goals and crush them! Whether you’re coming from a zero swim background or have done triathlons before, we will hone in on where you have room for growth and get to work!
- Based on your schedule and upcoming races, I will upload a rough outline of the “big” workouts, the ones you definitely need to hit in order to feel prepared for race day. This can be changed as needed, but gives you the chance to look/plan ahead for big weekends or workouts.
- Workouts will be uploaded one week at a time; usually on Sunday afternoons.
- You can expect at least 1-2 upper/core strength session and 1-2 lower strength sessions. These are mostly preventative exercises (that I learned from various Physical Therapists) but if we have found you have a weak area, there will be exercises to target that area.
- I am available by text or phone to discuss any questions, concerns or barriers that might come up along the way. Just because the workouts are planned for the week does not mean they can’t be changed!
- We will talk a lot about nutrition/fueling; especially if you are doing a half or full ironman.
- I like to get swim footage if you are not working with a coach on deck or masters group. This gives me a good idea of things that we can be working on during your swim sessions and drills specific to you!
- Coaching is $189/month with a $100 start-up fee. This will be charged automatically using Stripe.
